TUB WILDCAT PubQfohed by THE SENIOR CLACQ 4 1972 Ckoui Zw f-figh Qckoob D fcoatZow DORIS LAUTERBACH We the 1973 Graduating Class of the Chouteau-Mazie Schools take pride in dedicating the 1973 WILDCAT to Mrs. Lauterbach. She is a living example of perpetual youth. Faculty and students alike regard with respect this one who represents the spirit of vitality which founded and sustains these schools. Many years of teaching have given her a boundless interest in people, especially students. Many of the students who were recipients of her enthusiasm and perserverance have attained academic honors. Remembering her students with pride, she beams with their every accomplishment, and when they come back to visit her, she greats them with joyful anticipation. The publication of this yearbook has required the co-operation of our sponsor, faculty, students, staff, and those who have contributed their support through advertisements. We wish to thank you who have helped us. It is our sincere hope and desire that you, will enjoy and appreciate the 1973 Wildcat as much as we have enjoyed the privilege of preparing it for you. WILDCAT YEARBOOK STAFF EDITORS: Marsha Patterson Deloris Nave ADMINISTRATION Tenderly now let all men turn to the earth Nancy Newhall Mr. and Mrs. Earp, Dennis and Mike Seniors, may I encourage you to put forth a great effort to pursue your varied careers. Each one of you will go in separate directions to gain the occupation that will provide a happy livelihood for you. The one thing in life you must remember - there will be many hours of happiness, but you will also be confronted with some disappointments. This is part of the great American way of life, and your destinies will be determined by how you accept each and every one of these disappointments. The faculty of the Chouteau-Mazie schools have done their best to develop those talents which the good Lord has bestowed upon you. Nothing nicer could come a teacher's way than for you to have a happy and successful life. Their hearts are the happiest when you remember they were a part of your life and you come by to say hello. May I say thanks to all the parents of the community for helping provide a good school for the boys and girls of this area. Each year your interest and support will be needed to have a good school. May the Lord bless you for your untiring efforts. Now I say goodbye until we meet again in the unforseeable future. 6 Dear Seniors: I would like to wish each of you all the success your capabilities will allow; and then a good portion of luck to help you achieve your fondest dreams. Wisdom is needed to distinguish between capabilities and dreams, but remember to set your goals or dreams high enough that you will not become disheartened if it becomes necessary to settle for a little less. 7 Settlor XmL JuMd u High R £ui£tj MACK EARP Superintendent CLARA FAYE BOWLING School Secretary ROY BUTLER Junior High Principal Math CLAYTON ENDICOTT High School Principal Science MYRTLE SMITH Business Education 8 BILL WEAVER English RtCuJ0£y TOM JONES Football Coach Girl's Basketball Drivers Education DALE VAUGHT History Boy's Basketball RUBY JAGGARS English Speech BowuL Oh Bdujc ttito LEFT ROW: Member: A1 Little Clerk; Robert Goble Supt.: Mack Earp RIGHT ROW: V. It is my wish that your training here will serve you well in the future, and that your mem-ories of Chouteau School will be pleasant ones. You have been a very enjoyable class. In the final analysis you should not measure your success by what you have accomplished, but by what you should have accomplished with your ability. Dear Classmates: Through the school years we have taken many different paths. We've made new friends and lost some of the old ones. Now we’re ready to embark on a new road, but with the help of the Annual Staff we will be able to recall our school years with pleasure. MORGAN Dear Students, We are reaching other crossroads. Some of you will be turning off here, and our paths may never cross again. We must say goodbye and wish you the best of luck. Others, may be leaving but our trails may meet and you know the pleasure we find in meeting old friends. But for most of you, our trail will continue on this fall together. See you then ... J. Two reasons why the flameless electric climute is a wiser choice. Throughout our area, we’ve found the annual operating cost of Cold Medallion Homes and Apartments to be no more than those using a combination system. And because pollution is every one s concern, remember this. Electricity is the cleanest form of energy for your home. In a Total Electric home or apartment, you live in a clean, comfortable environment. In this economy-ecology minded world, electricity does make more sense.
