Dedication CC Camp 1930 Citi2en Husband The Seniors dedicate the 1972 Wildcat to V. R. Cherry. Mr. Cherry came to Chouteau in 1943 and for the next 22 years served as principal, teacher, and girl's coach. The following 7 years, he served the school and community as Superintendent. So to you, V. R. Cherry, we offer many thanks for the years of service rendered to Chouteau High School. MACK EARP Seniors: Congratulations on achieving another milestone in your young lives. It has been my privilege to be associated with such a fine group of young people. Even though my association with you has been for only a short period of time, I treasure every minute of it. As you Seniors enter into the business world, it is my desire that this school has played an important role in giving you the background to leap successfully into the space and jet age. It is essential, therefore, that the Chouteau School keeps rapidly adjusting to the ever changing needs of the youth. Then finally may I use this letter to say thanks to you, (students, principals, teachers, patrons, and board of education) for the kindness and co-operation that has come my way during the past year as your Superintendent. Sincerely, y aeJt 7 MACK EARP Superintendent CLAYTON ENDICOTT Principal ROY BUTLER Principal BILL WEAVER I MYRTLE SMITH 8 BUENA CROCKETT ROBERT ADAIR DEE DRAKE 9 Principal MR. CLAYTON ENDICOTT Seniors: 1972 marks an important milestone in the progress and growth of Chouteau School with the completion of the new High School building. We should experience an institutional growth and developement which will place Chouteau in a position to give greater service to the students. Best wishes to the 1972 Senior Class, the first to graduate from the new school building. We wish to congratulate and to thank those faculty members and students who have worked to accomplish the publication of this book. Yours sincerely. 10 Senior King and Queen Donna Moon Markus LaCroix Senior Officers President - Steve Williams, Vice President - Charlotte Holland, Secretary and Treasurer - Tonee Bell, Reporter - David Taylor. Dear Students, For the reader a yearbook serves as a graphic record of a school year, bringing back the past experiences, renewing happy memories at whatever time he chooses. Turning through the pages of this and past yearbooks you may recall the many years of hard work and study. The events and activities of the past can never be recaptured, but the annual staff has attempted to make it possible through pictures and words. I hope that in the many years to come that we will be able to look at this annual in a way that would bring back the happy memories of Chouteau High School. 14 IS SAUNDRA DEAN CHERYL DINSMORE GARY HATFIELD SUSAN GRIMES 16 17 RANDY MOORE MARKUS LaCROIX NANCY MARLER DONNA MOON NANCY KROEKER 18 19 MIKE STOUT MELVIN SUTHERLAND MIKE TATUM TONYA RICE FREDDIE POTTER 20 Dear Seniors: You entered new doors in a new building to begin this last year of high school. Soon you will be going out those same doors never to return again as a student. All through life you will be going through doorways, both actual and figurative. You have to choose your doorway and sometimes you will be disappointed to find certain doors closed to you. But God never closes one door without opening another, often a better one. This is worth remembering. May just the right doors swing wide open for you. Best wishes, OAa) Dear Seniors, These three rules of life were given to me some years ago. I pass them on, for I have found them practical. The first is Go, the second is Keep going, and the third is Help someone else to go. ” CLASS COLORS: Red and White CLASS FLOWER: Red Rose CLASS MOTTO: The world steps aside for anyone who knows where he is going. 23 ?co «u Juniors Anders, Susan Bales, Roy Brannon, Cindy Coblentz, Charles Cole, Cheryl Cowan, Debra Crisp, Danny Davis, Janet Dean, Barbara DeGraff, Robert Diacon, Sharon Dyches, Judy Endicott, Jimmy Falling, Lovetta Fennell, Debra Fennell, Mary Garrett, Lilli Gentry, Doris Goble, Robin Griffin, James Hagar, Vicki Hardin, Charles Herron, Alvin Jantz, Barry 28 INOLA FARM ELEVATOR Feed, Seed, and Fertilizer Cleaning and Gardening You're Almost There Jones, Dewayne McGuire, Glen Miller, Spencer Moore, David Morgan, Bill Motter, Rhonda Nave, Deloris Nave, Gary Neel, Cherry Patterson, Marsha Perryman, Linda Skinner, Linda Smith, Lloyd Splawn, Benny Steddum, Dave Thomason, Gary Wassom, Kathy Wilkins, Patsy Wishard, Carol Miss Smith M.
