Principal The challenge of every new year, for each of us, is the look toward the horizons of learning and culture. In our growth and development as we acquire new skills and master more useful techniques, we improve upon our experiences and gain new satisfactions for ourselves and our loved ones. Preparedness means efforts always, and sacrifice many times. Childish pleasures and aimless pastimes are traded in for new models of performance. We have every reason to be grateful to our Superintendent and Board of Education for their thoughtful interest and encouragement as we attempt to improve the educational opportunities here at Chouteau. We wish to congratulate and to thank those faculty members who have worked to accomplish the publication of this book. 9
