Text from Pages 1 - 56 of the 1959 volume:

‘DecUcatioK We, the staff of the 1959 WILDCAT, proudly dedicate this annual to the citizens of this community who help make possible the fine education that each boy and girl receives. They have been effective in giving every student greater opportunities for learning so that he will be better prepared to go forward into the future. Without the untiring patronage and munificence of these people, it would not be possible to have the school that we have today. We sincerely wish to extend a token of appreciation to those individuals who have so unselfishly given of their time and efforts to the interests and advancements of Chouteau School. Especially is this true in the fields of mathematics and science. A great deal of attention is given to guidance. Guidance will naturally involve more use of standardized tests. We believe that every person should strive to appreciate the good and the beautiful in life in order to get the most from life. We believe that every student should strive to establish good habits of work, honesty, courtesty, etc. in the early years and that he should strive to be master of himself. We believe the opportunities are as great today as they ever were for the person that prepares to take advantage of those opportunities. We appreciate the co-operation of the patrons, the Board of Education, the faculty, and the students has an improved school program. Jess Grider Superintendent SHARPE DRY GOODS COMPANY L. K.
