Karin Hi! Ny name is Karin van Santen, and live in Opynen (Holland). I really like to live in Clioteau alot and being in High-school. What I like about it: The people are friendly, in school they have lots of sports to participate in. I also liked the snow, but it was about time that it left. I learnt speaking better English (American slang) and playing Basketball. I’m not excited to go home, because I will have a hard time to leave all my friends and family, Porkm1 down! At first the Sycamore seem mad, but it not long before we see that if they are mad, the rest of the world is madder. In contrast to these are the unhappy Kirbys. The plot shows how the attractive son of the Kirbys', Tony, falls in love with Alice Sycamore and brings his parents to dine at the Sycamore home on the wrong evening. The shock sustained by the Kirbys, who are invited to eat cheap food, shows Alice that marriage with Tony is out of the question. The Sycamores find it hard to realize her point of view. Meanwhile, Tony knows the Sycamores are right and his own people wrong. In the end, Mr. Kirby is converted to the happy madness of the Sycamores, particularly since he happens by during a visit by an ex-Grand Duchess, earning her living as a waitress. As the plot progresses we were met with strange activities of certain members of the household engaged in the manufacture of fireworks; nor of the printing press set up in the parlor; nor of Rheba the maid and her friend Donald; nor of the visit by Miss Wellington, the actress; nor of Grandpa's interview with the tax collector when he tells him he doesn't believe in income tax. The cast extends a special thanks to Mr. Reed for doing such an excellent job in directing the play. 84 A brief Moment of Confusion!! But I had planned such a nice party!!!
