Sir Min ken Sunny duffer and the Class of 957 Present 951 Zable of Contents TITLE CONTENTS DEDICATION ADMINISTRATION FACULTY SENIORS JUNIORS SOPHOMORES FRESHMEN ATHLETICS ACTIVITIES ADVERTISING DIVISION PAGES - Compliments of RAY KELLY Dedication MR. ED SCHILLER To Mr. Schiller: We started out together four short years ago. High school at Choteau was new to both of us. We weathered each other’s storms and together we managed to survive those hectic days. Now the class is leaving - taking with us many fine memories and much acquired knowledge. Don't be too hard on all the remaining mischief makers. Thanks a lot from the Class of 1957 Superintendent’s Messape To the graduating seniors, a hearty congratulation. You have successfully com- pleted twelve years of education which should have prepared you for your first great step in life...that of partially facing the problems which lie before you without the help of others. Education is the apprenticeship of life, M Willmott. You have now served that apprenticeship. What you learned during this time will determine what your life will be. Some of you used your apprenticeship to prepare yourself for an advanced training ...that of going to college. Regardless of when you conclude your apprenticeship, it is what you learned during this period of training that will determine your future. Your education has not only included the learning of knowledge, but it has in- cluded character development, the ability to get along with others, and citizenship. It is my hope, and that of the faculty, I'm sure, that you will be able to enter the fu- ture with a better knowledge of facts and an appreciation of a recognized citizen. The best of luck to you all. Front row: B. Olsen, Clerk; L. Pedersen; J. Swanson; C. Boussard. Back row: B. Me Clue; G. Stoudt; L. Burns; A. Salmond; G. Eichhorn, Chairman. Class Prophecy BELLVIEW SCHOOLHOUSE, TWENTY MILES WEST OF CHOTEAU. MAY 24, 1967. The senior class of 1957 met to hold their ten year reunion. As part of the entertainment, each mem- ber of the class told of the part he has been playing in society for the last ten years. The welcoming address was given by David Jones, who has finally attained his goal—Mayor of Pendroy. Mr. and Mrs. Gieg Whipple flew down from Alaska, where they are living in a luxurious 65” by 50” igloo. Mrs. Whipple is the former Janet Rose. Margaret Burkhead was recently crowned America's most perfect housekeeper. Dr. Duke Crary was late in arriving, as he had to perform a major ”sliverectomy. ” Betty Dhane VanSetten was able to attend, also. She left Louie home with the kids. Dick Mauseth is now Chief of Police in Choteau. He has no mercy for any law-breakers, even his old classmates, Pete Howard and Larry Broere, who insist on going 26 mph instead of 25. Betty Jo Orne drove up in her Volkswagen, which is just her size. She is contemplating getting an airplane, though, as she wears out too many sets of tires traveling between Choteau and Valier. We find Joanne McDonnell married to Toad Gebhart, and busy raising a family. Charlotte Bond now has her own store and service station called CHAR'S.” Don McCracken is still attending Brigham Young, as he can't decide what he wants to be. By the way, he still can't resist, pardon the expression, girls. Gina Durr keeps busy, as she is managing her Hereford ranch west of Choteau. She is now known as the Cattle Queen. Doris and Delores Rowley have been touring Europe, where they have sung in a number of concerts. Their theme song is It All Began in Old Choteau Hi. Ronnie Burgess, after many attempts to find a suitable business, has decided to do nothing. He re- cently won the title of the world's foremost pool shooter.” Ruby Hansman attended M.S.C., where she received her degree in Home Economics, and also her MRS. Lila Gollehon now has her own chain of drugstores, and they have become so well known that she is putting the Rexall Company out of business. Bill Chalmers and Lee Nordahl, our budding scientists, are working on a gasless car. Jack Schrock and Jerry Lewis recently formed a partnership. Sharon Herzog Marcoff enjoys living in Simms, and keeps quite busy caring for her triplets and two sets of twins. Joan Luinstra attended Kinman and is now employed in Spokane. Bonnie Brown has opened a new drive-inn in Choteau. She has been inventing new sundaes and sodas to please her customers. Dee Foxworthy is a Certified Public Accountant, and is doing quite well. He had a difficult time de- ciding whether to bring his new Buick or his new Oldsmobile. Mary Lynn is her father's secretary at Olsen Insurance Company. Dave Wedum is District Supervisor of the Forest Service in the Choteau City Park. Marlene Weist is principal of the Agawam School, and is very popular with her students. Cal Murray has seen most of the United States in these last ten years. He is now president of the Gulf Oil Company. Arlene Depner is Medical Technician at the Teton Memorial Hospital. Bill Halvorson is proprietor of all the big businesses in Pendroy and is gening very wealthy. Jay Dunkel recently renewed his contract with the North Carolina Tarheels. Fern Cherry attended Montana State University, where she received her degree in Business Administra- tion.
