Who makes out our tardy slips to get back into class. Who makes out our report cards to show that we pass, Who gives us change when we sometimes need it bad, Who seems to be the best friend we have ever had. When we come with a poor excuse, who says Well, Maybe, Why, of course, that's just our Peggy. We thank you, Peggy, for all you have done in guiding, helping, and looking out for us during part of the four happiest and best years of our lives. i mmsTmi 11— .viii. imtrrm tni m+ s m (l c fr 4, C 4, % A 9 e t c it d c it t 4- MR. ED SCHILLER The greatest moral to be drawn from America by every nation in this pre- sent day, according to Andrew Carnegie, is Seek ye first the education of the people and all other political blessings will be added unto you. It is without question that a well educated country is a fair and a peace-loving country. Education is more than factual knowledge. It is knowing how to live with your fellow man. also. It has been the object of the faculty of Choteau High School to not only offer subject matter, but to teach democracy. It is my sincere hope that you Seniors have learned the most it has been possible for you to learn, scholastically. Also, it is my most sincere hope that you will become the best citizens in this world of great political maneuvering -- and the greatest citizens in this great democratic country. To you, the Graduating Class of 1956, congratulations upon being gradu- ated. May you find success in your future undertakings. A. , being sound of both body and mind, do hereby concede this as our last will and testament. To the Science Department we will the knowledge acquired about the correct scientific method to per- form experiments. To the English Department we will our enormous redundant vocabulary. To the Mathematics Department we will the mathematical formulas which we worked that weren’t in the books. To the Commercial Department we will the great typing and shorthand speed created in this cheerful place. To all of the faculty we will the happy experiences we gave them so they will remember us. Maxine Yeager wills her ability to win state All-Around Cowgirl in her junior year to Lila Gallehon and hopes that she has as much good luck and fun. Bruce Anderson and Joan Baumgartner will their fights about who will be last to school to Jim Van Cleve and Duke Crary. Beverly Monkman can’t will anything because she is taking it all with her. Carl Olson wills his twin brother, Clark, to the Junior Girls. Better hurry because he is leaving also. Marie Vance wills her straight” A” average and music ability to Sharon Herzog. Gene Danz wills his shyness to Jack Schrock. Bet you can’t use it as he did. Faye Baker wills her grade average to Anna Marie Lilleaas and hopes that she keeps it up. Gene Henneford wills his technique with girls to Richard Mauseth. Pauline Richem wills her Ford to Arlene Depner. Don't run around too much, Arlene, it might interfere with your studies. Jim Lohse wills his athletic ability and good looks to David Wedum. Gayle Armstrong wills her place in Choteau High School to whoever thinks they can fill it. Charles Averill wills his place in the chorus to Jesse Malone. Make good use of it, Jess. Mary Brilakis wills her quietness to Doris Rowley. Doris, work hard at keeping it as Mary did. Jim Boadle wills his gym set to Bill Chalmers so that he can develop a physique like Jim's. Rose Kibbee wills her height to Shirley Schwartz. Johnny Carlson and Dale Depner will their places in Junior Literature to anybody that wants them. Sis Gebhart wills the ladylike charms that were willed to her, to Joan McDonald and Charlotte Bond. Wally Cherry wills his curly hair to Lee Nordahl. Don’t comb it as often as Wally did because your grades will suffer. Linda Groot wills the commercial department to Delores Rowley and Janet Rose. Charles Crane wills his dancing ability to Larry Broere. Polish it up a little bit and the girls will swoon. Allene Hanson wills her speech abilities to Linda Austin. You’ll go far if you use it as she did. Ronnie Eklund wills Choteau High School to all who want it. Don’t try to give it back because he is glad to get rid of it. Diane Henderson wills her slender figure to Margaret Taylor. Don't lose too much weight or you will be a walking scarecrow. Lee Foxworthy wills his ability to talk to Ronnie Burgess. As if he needed it. Iris Hughes wills the sixty cents that Joan Luinstra owes her, to Joan. No Hard Feelings. Merle Hanson and Ora Knowlton will the psychology class to ail who like to talk about people. Shirley Lusty wills her voice to Mary Lynn Olsen. Not too many high notes, your voice might crack. Wesley Higgens wills his place on the basketball team to Don McCracken. Jeanne Rausch wills her job at Penney’s to Bonnie Brown or Betty Dhane. Don’t fight, girls, you won t get rich. Leif Larsen wills the student council to Davey Jones, have fun. Maxine Snyder and Harriet Talifson will their shyness and long hair to Virginia Durr and Ruby Hansman. Richard Page, Tommie Richards, and Alex Truchot will their ability not to go out for sports to Duke Crary. Dede Wilson wills, for one year, Jay Dunkel to the junior girls as she is going to Denver and won't be able to see him. Clark Olson wills his basketball ability to Dee Fox worthy. That’s all Dee needs, he has the looks. Joan Zgoda would will Jim Lohse to Marlene Weist or Fern Cherry but she is taking him with her. Jack Peterson wills his height to Pete Howard. Jack thought you might be able to use it in basketball. Shirley Zier wills her trumpet playing ability to Betty Jo Orne. Blow hard, Betty Jo. Larry Taylow wills his ability not to be conceited to Jay Dunkel. Marjorie La Ranee wills her quietness to Peggy Johnson. Leslie Wedum wills his track record to Greg Whipple. Ed Lilieaas wills his red hair to Kenny Rustad. We thought it would look nice with your orange pants. Joe Lantz wills his seat on the Pendroy bus to Billy Halverson. @lci44 'ProfeAeccf We, the Class of 1956, chose New York City as our reunion place, we all needed a vacation and New York City seemed the most logical place. Before our reunion dinner we all had the pleasure of enjoying a concert under the direction of Marie Bance at Carnegie Hall. Charles Averill was listening quite concerned because he has a concert sched- uled at the San Francisco Opera House in two weeks. Gayle Armstrong Anderson came the farthest for this reunion. She came from Hawaii where Ray has made a lifetime job out of the navy. John Cowpoke Carlson is living on his father's ranch in a trailer house (it is six inches longer than his brothers). He milks a cow once in a while. Alex Truchot has taken over his father’s farm and he now owns all the big businesses in Agawam. Merle Hanson drove a new Oldsmobile to the reunion. He’s seeing how many he can sell right now. He has competition--Larry Taylor is selling Dodges. The former Linda Groot is living in Fairfield. Why? That is where Cordell and the kids live. Dede Wilson is busy raising a basketball team. She’s married to Coach Dunckel. If you scratch yourself while here, run to Maxine Snyder and Allene Hanson--they are our nurses. Dale Depner has made traveling around his career. He is still looking for a wife. Joan and Jim Lohse are trying to raise their ten children in a trailer house but are finding it very incon- venient. Clark and Carl Olson are competing against each other. Carl plays for the Minneapolis Lakers and Clark for the Boston Celtics. The girls from Montana all had their hair fixed at Kahler’s Beauty Salon before coming here. The former Shirley Lusty is the owner. Stella and Ora Knowlton are living in the mountains with their three sets of twins and two sets of triplets, as I was told by Stella. Wally Cherry is busy fixing TV sets in Fairfield. The only difficulty in his business is, after he takes a TV set apart, he can’t put it back together. Richard Page is mayor and sole owner of the seven bars and one grocery store in Bynum. Jim Boadle, our number one cowboy, just won the roping championship of the world at Madison Square Garden. Joan Baumgartner has been busy inventing new sundaes and sodas to please the customers in her drive inn. Diane Henderson found herself a cadet while attending C. W. C. Leslie Wedum works one day a week in his father's store, two days a week hunting rabbits to support Penny, and the other four days he takes his little Leslies to the woods hunting. You may think the former Iris Hughes developed an interest for flowers in college, but when she talks about her little Irises she is not referring to flowers. Jack Peterson has a dude ranch and has become very popular with his feminine guests. Maxine Yeager has taken over Betty Crocker's place in the world. Bruce Anderson after ten whole years is still swabbing decks in the Navy. Leif Larsen is a civil engineer. He has a 2000 acre farm for his hobby. Ed Lilleaas has finally made the grade. He is working behind the checking counter in the Safeway store at Choteau. If you would like to take in a movie tonight. Rose Kibbee is starring in The Return of Rattlesnake Rose at the Golden Theater. Our dairy products were supplied by Faye Baker for this dinner, free of charge. She owns a big dairy in Minnesota. Lee Foxworthy has his own little laboratory and his own chemistry sets. He's had extremely good luck so far- -he has only blown the roof off his house once. The former Beverly Monkman and Harriet Talifson went to college to get B. A. degrees in education and guess what they got, they got M. R. S. degrees and now have several little professors. Charles Crane is a farmer. He sits at home with his dog, smolking his pipe and watching TV every night. I believe some of us should thank Joe Lantz for the transportation out here. He's a bus driver for Inter-mountain. Mary Brilakis returned to Helena after graduating to work in the state capital. Pauline Richem is now president of the Highlander Beer Company, chief rival of Hamm’s Brewery. Tommy Richards has outgrown his shyness and is now publicity manager for the latest Marilyn Monroe. Ronnie Ecklund has his own little bar out at Collins, called Ecklund's Dive. Gene Danz is keeping himself busy by making millionaires out of other people. He works for an oil crew. Gene Henneford just got back from Munich, Germany, after completing his collection of beer steins. He has now opened up a bar and is making use of them. Shirley Zier has accomplished her goal--so far--to stay single!
