DARLENE HAMMETT LUCY BARNES • VICKI SUTHARD • SUSAN WEINER MICHELLE DUKE • GERTRUDE THOMAS • JUDY SCRIBER DR. JULIUS A. LEV AY, PRINCIPAL Dear Seniors: The mirror-image of today’s teenager is indeed a blurred one. He lives in a society where very little seems sacred. Traditional moral values have been repudiated in favor of “new mor- als,” but these, like old values, fail to stabilize society. The modern youth must develop his own ethical code, since prescribed codes seem no longer to exist. If he is to be functional in this so- ciety, he must know who he is, what he can and cannot handle emotionally, and how he can re- late effectively to other people. It is my sincere hope that we here at CHOPTICON have pre- pared you well enough that you can take our society and shape it in such a way that we might all experience a better way of life.
