The State participated in tour regional competitions composed of ten events which measured strengths in economics, language, literature, fine arts, mathematics, science so- cial science, and immigration. Cholla Decathlon Coach Mrs. Shirley Bu- dinger provided information and assisted students during the months of preparation. Cholla participants were seniors Noelle Files, Chris McBride, Bianca Gonzalez, Syl- via Hoyos, Darla Kuhn, Edwin Wong, David Yebra and Rose Morales. Overall winners were University High, Sa- huaro, and Amphi, who were honored at an awards banquet February 5th at the Univer- sity of Arizona Ballroom.
