Mike, a new- comer to Cholla, stated that he was extremely proud and happy to repre- sent Cholla as Homecoming King. I couldn't believe they called my name! It was like I was dreaming and didn't know what to do. Mike enjoys play- ing soccer and tennis during his spare I 1 .-H r A..-ni. time. He intends to continue his edu- cation at a four-year university, hope- fully on a paid scholarship in tennis, and would like to turn professional by the age of 25. Homecoming Queen Lorrain Fisher has attended Cholla for four years and has been very active and involved in various school activities. I think ev- ery year Cholla gets better and better. Mike Danley and Lorraine Fisher The students seem to be more active and they have a lot more spiritf, Lor- raine also plans on attending a four year university. The Parade of Floats The beautiful and bright colors im- mediately caught your eye as the Homecoming floats paraded towards the stands. The Seniors gladly took first place in the float competition with one of the most creative in many years. A gigantic graduation cap burst open with approximately 20 excited Seniors shouting their slogan H1985 this is it. The Juniors proudly showed their pride with H86 dreamers become the achieVers float. Showing a bright blue and orange Titan War- Q A lllf. rior with the theme Who we gonna beat. The class of '87 displayed their spirit in their float with Cholla found a treasure with the class of '87. A huge display of a treasure chest in an ocean scenery and a mermaid. Our Fresh- man came through with a Very artistic float portraying a football helmet made out of flowers which announced The class of 88. A selected group of teachers and counselors judged the float competition.
