The present band is the smallest in the school's history since there have been no new students as yet from the iunior high schools, therefore, the band has grown smaller for the last three years. Next year the band will have new blood for the first time in three years. Although small in number, the Style Marchers con- tinued to thrill football fans this past fall with their spectacular halftime shows. By playing several extensive tours and demonstrating their unique style of march- ing, the band has brought itself and the school national recognition. Former band members are now playing in college and university bands in the midwest, south- west and southeastern states. Three years ago the present director, James W. Leon- ard, was invited into the American School Band Directors Association, a national organization composed only of directors whose bands had gained outstanding recognition. 3: MSW i .. , , f , fm, r' r ,M 65 1311 ' W ' 4 M H -,,,,,kL, W W, W, . 1' f , ai' A , , ,m,',,V in N ,A 1, 2 Presrdent sec suden' Ervln Monroe Vliefdfy Treasurer V ice Pfe Jem, Revndds K W Y 7 Mme' Band Director in 0 f'MIgm6S LEE A my P' W Afwz WjZ,Q,5!fi?, , ,MQW M rm mdniwfyfym X if uf 7 4.417 lan Swanson Band Captain Band Lieutenant Fa nel Spence Dennls Center f .
