SLIPERINTENDENTS MESSAGE Dear Seniors: Democracy demands good educa- tion-today more than ever before. In our present world, the forces of aggression can be met only by free people who know the meaning of free- dom and who know how, together, to . protect their heritage of freedom. Within a democratic nation such as ours, the quality of national life is made up of the character of each person as he works with his friends. This nation's strength and its world influence for peace rests upon the boys and girls such as you, who know well the nature of democracy and strive daily to live in harmony with the principles of democracy.
