FOURTH FORM STORY This year's fourth formers spent another interesting year isolated from the rest of society up the hill. While their living situation presented obvious drawbacks, it also held certain advan- tages. Though more than half of the form was new to CRH this year, life in the quad quickly produced new friendships. By the second month of school almost everybody knew each other from congregations in the dining hall, in the quad, and, of course, by the tree. Once acquainted, the fourth formers took little time to blend in with CRH and its rules. Animal hour started, once again, to live up to its name. The skeets were no longer abandoned. As for academics, as one fourth former put it, We still have two more years. Of course, there are the smart ones, namely: Kennedy Clark and Carol Hammarstrom. As for athletics, this fourth form survived the varsity cuts with impressive style. ln particular, Heather Carrigan, John Schulten, Missy Miller, Rodney Pritchard, Carrie Sackett, and Carl Marottolo proved that we do have some jocks present. There is another interesting twist to the fourth form - the congregation that lives down the hill. These members of the form particularly blend in at CRH. Noticeably, Nicky Sanchez and Miguel Aleman have associated themselves outside of the form. As for the others down the hill, the boys living in Logan have quickly learned about misbehavior. As for the girls in Pitman, well, girls never mlsbehaveg therefore, the girls in Pitman are still as innocent as fourth formers should be. Although this situation of having fourth formers up and down the hill could have been a major disaster, it is not. David Gordin has solved the problem, as he attracts a fan club from up the hill each night. Thus, the fourth form as a whole is well integrated and looking forward to becoming fifth formers.

FIFTH FORM STORY Since Choate Rosemary Hall is often called a prep school - and a prep school is a short name for the long name college preparatory school - we lthe sixth form editors of the Brieft have decided not to burden a fifth former with the extra task of writing a story for their class. Instead, we will hope that all the members of the fifth form are diligently working, as this is their most important term before applying to colleges. Well, fifth formers, when you get into your first choice college, you know who to thank. But first, some advice on that second most impor- tant term - fall term: ft WORK HARD: - all A's. 25 PLAY HARD: - varsity sports - lead parts in the plays 35 INVOLVEMENT: - News editor - J.C. chairperson - 6th form president - Brief editor - House Counselor lit TESTING: - we expect nothing less than 780's. 53 ORGANIZATION: - we have all college essays finished before fall long weekend. 65 BEHAVIOR: - there is really no explanation needed - if you are not in bed by 10:00 PM, we know that you have squandered your time. On a more serious note, good luck fifth form. College acceptances are not as life threatening as they seem. Enjoy Choate while you are here. - The Sixth Form
