FOREWORD It is our hope that this BRIEF will help the Sixth retain the pleasant thoughts and memories that we all associate with 1937-38. Our con- stant purpose has been to compile a true record of one of the happiest years in the School's history. We deeply appreciate the privilege that has been ours, to help the Sixth Form remember their graduating year. We hope that the Masters will better remember our Sixth because of this BRIEF. Everywhere we turn we see men and boys whom we shall be sorry to leave. It is nice to feel that there will always be a connecting link between each one of us, and that the 1938 CHOATE BRIEF will be a strong part of that link. Such have been our thoughts. The task of carrying them out has been laborious but very pleasant. Now, we are proud of our work, and we gladly present it to the Sixth, the Masters, and all others with whom we have lived and enjoyed this valuable and unforgettable year. The Editor 2
