One hundred fifty students partici- pated, raising nearly six thousand dollars to bene- fit the Leukemia Society of America. The students danced, did aerobics with Anne Shore from The Track and Raquet Club, watched the air bands perform, and danced the final hours to music by Y94 FM's Rich Lauber. The team started out the year slowly by coming in fourth in the Baldwinsville Tournament. The All-Stars for the tourney were as follows: Jen Mealy. Jen Torege. Linda Rouse. The Lady Bears quickly recovered from their defeats by beating teams from West Genesee. Mew Mart- ford. and the state-ranked Washingtonville. The Lady Bears ended their season 12-6, losing to Solvay in Sectionals, for the Lady Bears, there were four players named to the first team TVL All-Star Team: Kristie Froio, Anne Bettinger. Perhaps the apex of this year was weeks six and seven, during which the Bears outscored Bishop Grimes and Canastota by a combined 63-14.
