ADMINISTRATION To The Class of 1982, At commencement you will reach one plateau in your lives. You should be proud of this achievement and at the same time realize that there are other hills to climb. I hope that each of you will be able to achieve success and happiness in your lives without doing so at the expense of others. I wish you good health and happiness in your future. To The Class of 1982: For twelve years you have been a member of a mini-society for several hours each day. Your personal and social responsibilities here have been allowed to grow slowly. Consciously or subconsciously you have passed many portals and you now stand on the last threshold here, ready to pass into a society from which there are no vacations and where the requirements are the same for all. Our job is done, yours is just beginning. The competition will be great regardless of your endeavors but your success will be measured only by your level of personal and social responsibility. Although your paths may separate here, you still touch each other through the society you create. Your time has come — your contributions and responsibilities to society are expected, may they give you great pride. u{iLjfnUk William A. Moth William A. Moth Assistant Principal 4

And we shall never forget one of his sayings: No, winning isn't everything, but if someone has to lose, let it be the other guy. For all of these things we thank you. Mr. Smith. APPRECIATION MR. SMOLNYCKI Everyone in the music department can appreciate the hard work Mr. Smolnycki puts in each year. Besides directing the band and musical orchestra, he has recently expanded the department by adding a Dixieland Band. It's obvious that he does more than his job requires. He's always willing to give up his lunch period to make up lessons. We, the Class of 1982, will remember him for his dedication, and his love of Chopsticks.
