To the Class of 1979, One of the rewards of being in education is to be able to watch a group of young people grow and mature physically, mentally, and emotionally. You, as a class, have grown in each of these ways and are about to leave high school and face the cold, cruel world. You are ready. We have done our best to prepare you for the many challenges ahead. Life at Chittenango High School is not intended to be all fun and always easy, for such is life. Like fine steel, we all require tempering before we are equal to the tough tasks of life. I wish each of you the very best and sincerely hope that you will find success, each in your own way. To the Seniors of 1979: It is always a pleasure to work with a group of students who are enthusiastic, loyal to their school and enjoyable to be with. The class of 1979 is this kind of class. Your class has shown the underclass- men that high school can be a good experience, both in and out of class. As you leave Chittenango High School to begin your new lives, remember the lessons you have learned here. Strive to build upon those lessons so that your future will become all that you wish it to be. Congratulations and good luck. Michael A. Sturgeon To the Class of 1979: This past year has been a special one for all of you. It certainly has for me. Even though the time spent with you has been short, I would like to offer my congratulations for a job well done, best wishes for your future years, but most of all, thanks for letting me be a part of your lives. Just as this was a learning year for me, so too will all your years and experiences be learning ones as you graduate from Chittenango High School. Life is full of great and joyful experiences and relation- ships. Never fail to grasp the moment. Enjoy all of that life has to offer, and work your hardest to keep your goals, hopes, and aspira- tions foremost in your minds. The community is waiting for you to be its leaders of tomorrow. I know that you can do the job. Again may I express my hope that your future years are pleasant and rewarding ones. 4 David M. Wheeler
