. as as w all war k PALLADIUM DEDICATION MR. KENNETH PATTERSON This year’s senior class, the class of ’79, wishes to dedicate their year- book to Mr. Kenneth Patterson. Mr. Patterson, who teaches physics to all the willing seniors, also advises the Physics Club. Last year the club made a very successful trip to Washington, D.C. This year they are making plans to go to California. The Senior Class hopes you will be here at C.C.S. for more seniors in many years to come. We take this time to thank you for your efforts and for the many sacrifices of your time. And, may the force be with you. APPRECIATION MR. HAROLD TALBOT A school year without a principal wouldn't be much of a year at all. This year we feel that our head principal deserves recognition. Mr. Talbot not only works hard for us during the day, but he also gives an incredible amount of time for our after school and night events. You help us strive for a little bit more each day. Through your care and understanding, we can accomplish our goals and feel good about them. We would like to say, Keep up the g xxl work, and thanks for the memories.” MR GREGORY ELLSTROM Nearly everyone in schcx l knows Mr. F.llstrom. However, few people realize how much of his time is devoted to the school. Those- of us who have worked with him in musicals or plays know just how much effort and talent he puts into these productions. We're sure the entire school would like to extend their appreciation to this special teacher. MR JOHN KENTCH This year’s senior class would like to thank Mr. Kentch for all his work and dedication. He teaches us how to drive with safety and caution. This teaches us to live our lives in the same manner. We would like to thank this enthusiastic man who certainly deserves a moment of praise. 3 To the Class of 1979, One of the rewards of being in education is to be able to watch a group of young people grow and mature physically, mentally, and emotionally. You, as a class, have grown in each of these ways and are about to leave high school and face the cold, cruel world. You are ready. We have done our best to prepare you for the many challenges ahead. Life at Chittenango High School is not intended to be all fun and always easy, for such is life. Like fine steel, we all require tempering before we are equal to the tough tasks of life. I wish each of you the very best and sincerely hope that you will find success, each in your own way. To the Seniors of 1979: It is always a pleasure to work with a group of students who are enthusiastic, loyal to their school and enjoyable to be with. The class of 1979 is this kind of class. Your class has shown the underclass- men that high school can be a good experience, both in and out of class. As you leave Chittenango High School to begin your new lives, remember the lessons you have learned here. Strive to build upon those lessons so that your future will become all that you wish it to be. Congratulations and good luck. Michael A. Sturgeon To the Class of 1979: This past year has been a special one for all of you. It certainly has for me. Even though the time spent with you has been short, I would like to offer my congratulations for a job well done, best wishes for your future years, but most of all, thanks for letting me be a part of your lives. Just as this was a learning year for me, so too will all your years and experiences be learning ones as you graduate from Chittenango High School. Life is full of great and joyful experiences and relation- ships. Never fail to grasp the moment. Enjoy all of that life has to offer, and work your hardest to keep your goals, hopes, and aspira- tions foremost in your minds. The community is waiting for you to be its leaders of tomorrow. I know that you can do the job. Again may I express my hope that your future years are pleasant and rewarding ones. 4 David M. Wheeler ADMINISTRA. TION AND BOARD OF EDUCATION Warren E. We are certain that the Palladium Staff represents the entire student hod from past to future years. It is not easy to sum everything up on these pages. But here is one more memory that cannot simply be replaced by a new team next year. This one is for keeps. All through C.C.S. this theme is present. Many individuals come together, whether it he a Football team or our own Palla- dium Staff. Each of us contributes a special talent to reach that one particular goal. A center halfback is as important to the soccer team, as a delegate is to the Student Council, or one hand member to the entire band. Now, we must each find our own road: But before we do, let us take a look at these important individuals and groups, and remember these important memories . . . ANYTHING GOES MUSIC BANQUETS Each year the music teachers and music boosters present two banquets to honor the many music students. The stu- dents perform more than 60 concerts during the year. These programs are enjoyed by many different people. This year the Palladium Staff would like to thank all the people who have helped the music students throughout our years at C.C.S. 1 Rich Perry and Diane Blanchfield The 1978 Junior Prom theme Tammy Matina and Dan DiChristina King and Queen: John and Sandy ALWAYS AND FOREVER 15 Our Senior Year. MARY MILNER Many people at Chittenango Central School were greatly saddened by the sudden death of Mrs. Milner. Mrs. Milner was a warm and caring person. She taught many students how to understand music and play it with feeling. She helped students to work harder and achieve the highest level possible. We hope that everyone will remember Mrs. Milner and the memories she left us. 176 as as we all wo —i iiBBBB BUS cpp 7
