To the Seniors of 1978: It is a pleasure to have this opportunity to express my heartiest congratulations and good wishes to your class. Your class seems to possess its share of the qualities we like to see in the young men and women of our school and community. Your loyalty, enthusiasm, and good citizen- ship as shown in school affairs have served as an inspira- tion for underclassmen to do as well or better in the years to come. May I remind you that commencement does not mean the end of your education, but rather the beginning of a new stage in the adventure of life where learning can con- tinue indefinitely if you desire it so. To the Class of 1978; The song Memories has a special meaning for each of you at this time. Memories of the past few years will become more and more valuable as time passes. I hope that you have developed the necessary traits to enable you to be suc- cessful in the future. Success is only real if it is truly earned and not accom- plished at the expense of others. I have enjoyed my association with each of you and certainly hope that you will visit us as time permits, so that you can maintain contact with your high school. Your friend. Harold W. Talbot, Jr. High School Principal To the Class of ’78; I feel fortunate that I was able to get to know many members of the Class of ’78. You impress me as a group of friendly, happy people who work hard to meet requirements and obligations. Hopefully, you have a sense of satisfac- tion in your accomplishments. By setting sensible goals and then by earnestly working to achieve them, one can have a rewarding life that is both exciting and fun. My advice to you is to work hard but don’t forget to enjoy yourself. If there is something you want to do. whether it be travel, or further schooling, or particular employment, don't permit uncertainty to prevent you. Satisfaction in life depends on your ability to experience your interests and meet the goals you set for yourself. Good luck to each of you and always remain cheerful and friendly.
