Although, two hundred years have passed, we still hold valuable the inalienable rights provided for us by those colonial revolutionaries who founded our country and framed its constitution. We have absolute confidence that we will continue to support the Amendment Rights to Freedom, Justice, and Equality. We will endeavor to exercise the human liberties they guarantee, as we aspire to develop new and advanced social standards for future centuries. f To the class of 1976, Congratulations! You have achieved one of life's goals in graduating from high school. While here, you have been exposed to many different kinds of people and situations. Hopefully, you have benefited from most of these experiences and have learned to tolerate those situations which sometimes seem impossible. This, in a general sense, is what we call education. Your next step is to apply what you have learned from your past experiences in order to achieve success in the future. Accept the chal- lenge of life and live it with pride in your accom- plishments. My sincere best wishes go with each of you. Sincerely, Harold W. Talbot, Jr. High School Principal MR. JEROME - Superintendent 4 Assistant Principals MR. SWEET MR. Most of you, unfortunately, will have to come back next year, but some of us are going to be gone forever. We are the Class of '76. Whether we have been at CCS for six years, or four years, or even one year, our High School years are full of memories. This time in our lives is one of the most rewarding times we will ever have. It is a time of growing up, of maturity, and it is our last fling before we enter the time of life when we shall have never ending responsibilities. We have learned more in our high school years than academics. We have learned responsibili- ties. We have discovered talents, be it in athletics, music, or art. We have had a chance to express ourselves in ways never before possible. And we have had fun! Personally, I have experienced things I don’t ever want to forget. When will I be able to have first period gym classes in freezing weather? When will we have fire drills in the class we hate the most? How are we going to survive not falling asleep during boring assemblies. But seriously, there are things we can never do again. There will be no more dances or proms. No more cramming for your Regents Exams. Football games will lose some of their flavor because the kids playing won’t be you, or your best friends. You won’t be participating in the school concerts or plays, or anything anymore. We all have our own private memories of Chittenango. Chittenango has helped make us what we are, good or bad. And whether or not we enjoyed our stay behind these walls, we must remember what CCS gave us, something that cannot be measured, something that cannot be repaid. Senior Staff - 1st Row: K. Foreign Travel Puts French Club’s Language to Use The French Club has increased its number of members and activities these past two years. Cooking and tasting various delicacies of French origin and attending LE PETIT PRINCE motivated the club to travel to Montreal in May. Preparations for the trip to France over Spring vacation were helped by the suggestions of Dominique Paris, an AFS Student from France who served this year as club president. 115 Business Is Their Business Running the supply shop, attending conven- tions, helping faculty, selling candy and crafts.
