CLAS COttORS CLA S FUWER MOlTd TA The year of 1971, for many of us, concludes twelve years of hard work and fun at Chittenango Central School. P'or this reason the class of 1971 has chosen School Spir- it as the theme of our Palladium. We firmlv believe that the competition in our classrooms and on the athletic fields has helped increase our faith in our school. Whether winning or losing we still upheld the same pride and devotion. We hope that this loyalty will continue throughout the years re- gardless of our future endeavors. With these thoughts in mind we leave C.C.S., but never leave behind our Spirit, or the symbol of our spirit — THE BEARS” I Mr. Pash ley i Mr. Prenevost DEDICATION We the Class of 1971, would like to express our deep appreciation for all the.time and effort these teachers have given us. We would especially like to thank Mr. Kinsella for the help he has given us as Senior Class advisor. I'm sure I speak for all the professional staff members when 1 wish y JwfHpt of every- thing in your future endeavors. You and your parents or guardians should be justly proud of your excellent accomplishments and achievements while at ChiitenangdCentral School. In these trying days of technological advancement and sociological unrest, may yfou I'm i,. mic undivided efforts on educational and occupational security, stability, and understanding for yourself and your fellol man. Again, our heartiest congratulations to you. H. licd J. Hughes ■ tendent of Schools To the Class of 1971 We hope that you will look back on your days at Chit- tenango High School as times that have given you many worthwhile and happy experiences. Our best wishes go with you into future years with the hope that those times will truly be good to you and your families. But you are entering a world where paradoxes have become part of our way of life — one youth feels he can end a war by shouldering arms while another feels he can end the same war by refusing to do so, or a father supports the philosophy of law and order but a portion of the allowance he sends his son at college is spent on illegal drugs. or we use pesticides to improve part of our environment but by doing so destroy another portion of it. There seems to be no simple solutions to hundreds of questions like these. We have tried to give you knowl- edge and skills in searching out the true answer that will be both right by society’s standards as well as giving you satisfaction and happiness with your decisions. In a few days, you will graduate. My congratulations for obtaining this goal are sincerely offered you and your families. Best wishes, Warren E. Jerome High School Principal To the Class of 1971 The past few years have been ones of turmoil, with a few people trying to force their ideas and values upon the others. The minority have asked for many so called privileges but seldom have asked for, or been willing to accept, the responsibilities that go with them. It is most gratifying to me that so many of you have been able to maintain the proper perspective and have completed your first major step toward becoming a pro- ductive citizen of a great Nation. I congratulate you and others who have helped you reach this point in your life. Sincerely, Charles F. Seamans Assistant Principal Jr.-Sr. High School 15 17 Board of Education Standing.
