Dear Class of 1969, A sincere effort and a concern for the future are character- istics that have helped carry you to this milestone in your early lives. Such work and planning have proven to be successful in that you are about to graduate from high school. These at- tributes will also be vehicles for other important endeavors you might seek. For when such effort is continually put forth, it is hard to believe that we can go in any direction except forward. Four years ago members of your class recognized these two points for success in preparing for junior high graduation. The last verse of the class poem spoke of sincere effort in this way: So, students, everyone asks so little of you, Just make the most of whatever you do. Try only your hardest—give whatever it takes, Let's make this world a better place.” Sharon Hill Also, the committee that selected the class motto was think- ing of the future when they decided upon: You can’t plan for the future in the future, you have to do it now.” Keeping these thoughts in mind, I bid you farewell and best wishes for a successful future. I also send my congratulations to your families who are just as proud as we are on this occasion. Sincerely yours, Warren E. Jerome High School Principal Dear Graduates, I wish to congratulate each of you upon graduation and wish you happiness in the future. It is wise to remember that an education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't. It's knowing where to go to find out what you need to know. And, it’s knowing how to use the information wisely once you have it. Sincerely yours, Charles F. Seamans Ass’t Junior-Senior High School Principal 5
