Is this where Lyman Frank Baum lived? foreword The year 1968 marks the end of twelve years of hard work and fun which we have put forth in order to prepare ourselves for our quest through life. These twelve years have been marked by rapidly changing times during which people have had to think and act with computer logic; thus seemingly threatening the qualities of imagination, bravery, ardent pursuit of wisdom and kindness. We the 1968 Palladium Staff, have chosen our theme—THE LAND OF OZ—because its author, Lyman Frank Baum and his charac- ters, Dorthy, Scarecrow, and the Tin Woodsman symbolize these qualities to which we strive. All the characters created by Mr. Baum lead us to two significant conclusions: 1) Sincerity of purpose and justice in method result in victory regardless if the goal is obtained or not. 2) Deception will never stand the test of time, truth will always win out. With these thoughts in mind, we present to you 1968 Palladium. THE LAND OF OZ 3
