king plan I Dance. Our made the dance one year. to our iopho What a year that proved to be! In September, 1952, 65 students were enrolled in the Sophomore class under the direction of Miss Brophy and Mr. Tester. Four students moved away but we were joined by Sharon Lampman, Thomas Burlie and Richard Ingerson. Our class officers were: Richard Tatum, President; Dawn Pindle, Vice President; Ray McKitlip, Secretary; and Jane Zeiler, Treasurer. Virginia Meyers was ring chairman. , Virginia Meyers, Dorothy Potter. Patricia Koagle. June Taylor and Pauline Rhinehart represented our class on the cheerleading squads. The boys did very well on the football, basketball and baseball teams. We held two dances during our Sophomore year. They were the Masked Dance and the Bunny Hop. They helped boost our treasury a great deal. Finally in 1953, we became upperclassmen. We as- sembled under the guidance of Mrs. Waaser and Mr Gammardella. We started the year by electing class officers. Dawn Pindle became President; Jeanne Lam- phere, Vice President; Virginia Meyers. Secretary; and Barbara Abel, Treasurer. Martha Coleman, Pauline Rhinehart, Dorothy Potter, and Virginia Meyers were seen wearing cheerleading uniforms. Many fellows such as Peter Stucker, Thomas Burke, James Breakey, George Stewart, Charles Worlock, Gerald Thompson. Richard Tatum, and Robert Kline sported football, basketball or baseball uniforms. sawar, Recording secretary; nrgmi,i Movers Corresponding Secretary; and Frances Bryant, Ti Again we were well represented in sports. George Stewart, Robert Kline, Charles Worlock, Gerald Thompson, Richard Tatum, Peter Stucker and James Breakey were active on the various teams. Dorothy Breakey were active on the various teams. Dorothy Potter, Pauline Rhinehart and Martha Coleman were members of the cheerleading squads. We began making plans for our Senior Ball and de- cided to have it on November 19 with Dick Martin's Orchestra supplying the music. The theme was Star- light Walh. We decided we would have a Prince and Princess to reign over the Ball. They were chosen from the freshman class. . H In addition to our beanies and pennants we sold ballpoint pens with Chittenango printed on them. At Christmas time we sold ribbon candy which was again a successful project. In March we sponsored Luckner's Magician Show which wasn’t too successful because of inclement weather., hs We decided we would have to cancel our class trip tqNew York because of lack of funds. Another big event for the year was the Senior play, State Fair. held on April 1st. The play was a big success and everyone enjoyed working on it. A class picnic and graduation ended our four years in high school. As we leave the halls of C.C.S. to go our separate ways, we heartily thank our principal, teachers and fellow students for making our four years in high school the best in our lives. We only hope that we have been able to pick up just a bit of what was offered and that we, in turn, contributed a bit to the growth of our Alma Mater. We had fun during our four years; we'll never forget them — How could we? They were the greatest! SUE MINTOYNE
