CLASS POEM NOT FINISHED, JUST BEGUN Our motto has been selected, Be it apropos or no. But we find that we are stuck with it, To seek and find and show. Amid a chorus of applause, We wend our way from there. From those learned and hallowed halls, To futures uncertain as the air. We’ve worked four years, that’s four Rungs up the ladder of success. Who knows how many more to go, After we leave old C. C. S? Our year book made predictions, Accurate as they may seem. But fate can find so many ways, In which to intervene. So, with prometheus unbound and spirit free, Our minds will take us far or near, No matter what the case may be, All through life we’ll never fear.

CLASS HISTORY The curtain was going up on the first act. The time was September 1949. The place was the Freshman room. The first scene was the election of class officers. Lee Button was elected President; Martin Boylan, Vice-President; Philip Seamans, Secretary; and Harvey Lanphear, Treasurer. The second act took place in the Sophomore room the following fall. The first scene again showed the election of officers, this time under the leadership of Mr. Teeter. Ethel Hills became President; June Urciuoli, Vice-President; Marilyn French, Secretary; and Shirley Allen, Treas- urer. The second scene was the next February in the C.C.S. gym. The event was a dance The February Special. Chuck Bush’s Orchestra furnished the music. The setting for the third act was in the Junior room. The first scene showed Philip Seamans as President; Wilda Markle as Vice-President; Grace Allen as Secretary and Janis Mohorter as Treasurer. The time of the second scene was May 23» 1952. The Junior Prom was being held with Grace Allen as Chairman and Wilda Markle as Co-chairman. The theme was Apple Blos- som Time. The last act began in the Senior room September 1952. In the first scene Irving Smith was elected President; Joyce Vining, Vice-President; Marilyn French, Secretary; and Billy Kesler, Treasurer. The second scene showed the gym decorated with the theme Blue Tango for the Senior Ball. The last scene is now being played, the time is June 1953 the place is the C.C.S. auditorium. We have enjoyed being the main characters in this play. It has been lots of hard work and lots of fun too. Now as the curtain is coming down on the last scene we know we’ll remember these four major acts in our life.
