Shirley Allen At the beginning of the year we started our Sophomore Class with 43 pupils. Out of the 43, we have 38 left. Dick Kneeskern, Martin Boylan, Janet Chawgo, Barbara Darling and Neil Bortle left us. We were happy to be under the direction of Mr. Teeter, our home-room teacher. We were well represented by both boys and girls in sports. Ethel Hills, Sue Cromp, Pat Jar- dine and Shirley Allen were cheerleaders. The Sophomore boys who played on the Junior Varsity basketball team were ElwinCentner, Jerry Case, Philip Seamans, Harvey Benn, Harvey Lanphear, Pete Case, Lee Button and Martin Boylan. Some of the boys were also on the football and base- ball teams. We had a dance called “The February Special on February 24th, with Chuck Bush’s orches- tra. A good time was had by all. There has been good cooperation in the whole class and we hope to have it always.

We started the year with 41 mem- bers. We gained Norma Puree and Howard Goodell and lost Leonard Moth, Bill Hirons, Jean Watkins, ond Phyllis Ostrander. We have held one donee this year and have planned for the Junior Prom to take place in May. Our class held a Christmas Porty on December 29th at the home of Mrs. Yorton. The Class of 52’ is still working for a trip to Washington, D.C., and has been making money by selling potato chips at the home games.

We enjoyed our Christmas Party with the rest of the High School classes. Our first dance was a “Vic’ dance. We were well represented in sports by both boys and girls. Dawn Stedman and Hazel Good- fellow represent our class on the J.V. Cheerleading squad. Donald Thayer was on the J.V. Bas- ketball squad. Many others were on the Freshman team. All together we enjoyed our first year of high school and are looking forward to the rest.
