We welcomed three new members; Jay Funck, Fred Smith, and Phyl- lis Ostrander. One of our honor students, Grace Parmalee, left us in December. Our class was very well represented in all of the school activities and we ore very proud of our participation. We made a profit by selling potato chips and magazine subscriptions to go towards our much planned for Senior trip to Washington. We had a Christmas party with a tree and presents and planned a class pic- nic for June. The greatest event of the year for us was our successful Sophomore Dance, which was held in the school gymnasium on April 28, 1950. We are looking forward to our Junior Year and the many good times ahead when we become “upper classmen .

Carol Hatch was a Varsity cheerleader. In October we had a Sadie Hawkins Day Dance with Charlie Gregg’s Or- chestra. We were well represented in sports by both girls and boys. The girls were June Urciuoli, and Ethel Hills as cheerleaders. Among the boys, Lee Button, Harvey Lonphear, Neil Bortle, Gerry Case, Billy Kesler, Bob McCombie, Elwin Centner, Martin Boylan, and Philip Seaman were on the Freshman basketball team. Some of the boys also participated on the Football team. In the activities we have had, we have enjoyed high degrees of cooperation between the class members. May we always have it.
