In her twenty-five 'years of loyal service to the school she has commanded the devotion of all stu- dents for her sympathetic understanding and helpful advice. Today 1,51 7 boys and girls she guided in high school are fighting in another World War. The many letters from her boys to Dear Miss Hickey reveal a deep affection and testify to a true appreciation of her worth. They have found in her unstinting devotion to their Welfare an example of service 'fover and beyond the call of duty . DROTNING l'An institution is the lengthened shadow of one man . . . To no one does this dictum apply more truly then to our superintendent of schools, lVIr. tl. P. Vaughan, who through 37 years of devoted serv- ice since l907, has developed a great school system of recognized excellence. Working with him for the same period of time has been Mr. A. F. Drotning. As principal, Mr. Drot- E. C. CHURCHILL ning set for Chisholm High School standards of high attainment in all fields of activity. This year the friendliness and sense of fair play of a newcomer, Mr. E. C. Churchill, has won the respect and liking of all for the new principal. His policy and personality has inspired the con- fidence that he will Worthily carry on and add to the 'luster of Chisholm traditions. w WL.. .o K 1 mu Ill! Ill! The spirited music of the band created a stirring atmos- phere at football and basketball games. The orchestra was an integral part of every convocation and climaxed the years' activities with a beautiful spring recital of concert music. The string ensemble provided soft, mellow background music for banquets, programs and social gatherings throughout the community. Even during the absence of lllr.
