Varsity Finds Teamwork Pays Off The '78-'79 Varsity volleyball team had an outstanding record this year with 10 wins, 5 losses, 0 ties. The Varsity team competed in 3 tournaments and placed in two of them, taking the runner-up position in the shrine tournament, and placing llth in the Battle Creek Tournament which had 60 teams in all. This year the Varsity team is bigger and Stronger than ever, says Miss Drake. With the longer practices and special training and more scrimages, the team is more developed than ever. This year the Varsity team traveled to Poland to compete against Poland's volleyball team. Miss Drake commented saying what a great experience it was, and that they learned a lot from a semi-professional team. Perhaps when these are seniors, they'Il be one of the most exciting teams Chippewa Valley has ever had. we ,Wi I .25
