junior Varsity Plays a Tough Seaso Despite only one thrilling victory, the Big Red's junior Varsity football team achieved its goal of preparing players for Varsity next season. The team was very competitive and rarely out of any of the games they played in. Indicative of the athletes who worked hard and provided a model for other football players was Tom Olivieri who played both offense and defense for the Big Reds. The junior Varsity players will be an important part of next years Varsity. l. Tom Olivieri gains yardage around the left end. 2. Paul Corona takes the snap from the center and starts the play. 3. Corona eludes his defender and breaks away from necessary yardage. 4. But Coach. S. Kavanagh pursues the play from the left end. 6. Rich Hoffman makes the Big Red's offensive line look good. 7. Rich Hoffman catches another pass thrown by Paul Corona. 8. Fighting for it, Rich goes up for the ball again.

Freshmen Football Stands Tall Chippewa Valley's freshman football team had a tough season this year. A hard working coach, and a lot of effort by the team helped them to play tough and keep themselves going. Despite their record, the Big Reds showed much promise and enthusiasm for next years j.V. and Varsity.
