Big Reds Handicapped Because of Injury ' WiU A I t hough , from a record standpoint, this years team fell short of their goals, they fulfilled all expectations in developing a legitimate team attitude. Despite the disappointments, the coaches and players remained supportive of one another and didn't let the losses destroy their self-respect. The team was very young, comprised mostly of sophomores and juniors. The experience these young players gained, particularly the positive leadership demonstrated by the seniors, should be a foundation for improvement to excellence in the years ahead. Players honored were captains Steve Murray, Steve Shehan, and Art Miller. Steve Murray gained first team All Conference honors, as well as second team All County KAI and All County combined, he also received Honorable Mention Metro East.
