Chippevv '78-79 Choir ,ai 3 4 This year C.V.H.S. has a new start, with a new choral director, Ms. Merrill. We've had our traditional Fall Follies which included the Roaring Twenties to the Raging Sixties. Two good M.C.'s really topped it off. The Christmas Concert was a real success at St. Peter's Church, accompanied by the Flushing String Quartet. Our Madrigals and Acappella choirs made a trip to Greenfield Village. A new group, composed of almost all sophomores and called the Concert singers will perform for the rest of the year. Jaw?-ey 1. Pete Tocco has a sly grin on his face. 2. Lori Hegwood and lim Riggio singing at Fall Follies. 3. Dianna and Ann smile pretty. 4. Mrs. Merril at the piano. 5. Pam Makowski singing at her solo. 6. Karen Kozelski, Sue Mitchell, Kim Cook and Sue Cote.

A Successful Variety Show year's Nl.C.S. 2. ist place winners, jim Riggio and Nancy G rantham. 3. julie Kurzava and Ed Bornoty with a performance second place. 4. john Czarnik, George Grzywacz, john Procita, and Steve Prue singing C.V.H.S. 5. Pauly Toma and the rest of the crew with their ode to teachers. The Variety show was a big success this year with the help of outstanding acts. Technical theatre arts played a large role in the Variety show with expert use of sound and light. Thank you! Ms. Fadell. The three outstanding acts selected by the judges were: in first place, jim Riggio and Nancy Grantham singing a song that was written by jim Riggio. Second place went to julie Kurzava and Ed Bornoty singing Scarborough Fair. Third place went to Pam Makowski singing Tomorrow. Congratulations to all who helped and performed in the 1979 junior Class Variety Show.

Choir Roaring Into Chippewa Valley Choir moved into a new year with a new teacher, Miss Kathy Merrill. Miss Merrill has many years of experience and is very well qualified. Backed by a lot of talent and knowledge from the students, Miss Merrill should be able to get off to a booming start in her first year. The past few years have been excellent for the choir.
