Chippewa Goes on Strike On Nlonday's after school, you can find a lot of students at Frontier Lanes. Intramural Bowling involves about 48 people - divided into 12 teams. Every week they compete for points - with reason. The top 3 teams each receive trophies for their efforts. Trophies are also given llifgm - -. fx lkl.:5-11.17 out for high games, high averages and for the most improved bowler. lt's not Bowling for Dollars , but whoever wins, be it Quadrophenia, Blue Ribbon, The Twisters, The Gutter Dusters or some other team, all agree it was a good time. - 5 . I 'l. Let me roll it to ya. 2- Craig Metter checks up on Alex Cracchiolo and Rose Ann Pizzo to make sure his score is right. 3. With style like that, Ken Danaj is sure to get a strike, 4. The Beat Goes On One band at Chippewa that is keeping the musical beat on a high note is the Stage Band. Stage Band, directed by Ron Cardeccia, can be found at Basketball games, Fall Follies, and Stage Band concerts. Neither the students or Mr. Cardeccia receive any money or extra credit for playing in the band, but they sure give people a lot of enjoyment. .-4' 1. Mr. Cardeccia keeps the beat up. 2. Fall Follies performance. 3. Half time entertainment. 4. One and a two and a three. 5. Outstanding band student Bruce Bradford. 6. Practice makes perfect.

Equestrians Are Cn Their C A new addition to Chippewa's student activities is the Equestrian Team. The self-supporting team of nine has been riding hard, competing in shows, and enjoying every minute. In competition, the first event is started by joan Fitzgibbon and Freida Simon. When they get their points, the Western class moves in with Dave Lezell, Debbie Bruno and Laura Cadle, bringing in more points. The English event is up next with Eric Schwartz, Becky Marshall, Sonya Mozeleski and Colleen Herman. They make a strong and confident group. The team works hard and their efforts have been rewarded. In their first year as a team, they placed second in the Port Huron Championship. The team is happy and looking forward to an even better year in 1980.
