One such addition is a new superintendent. Dr. DePillo, who has the job of being chief executive of the school district, administrates every facet of school activity and reports to the school board about them. That is where his two assistants come in. Dr. VanEvery works with the Instructional and Curriculum sections of the school. Mr. Roth, the second assistant takes care of all the business affairs. Together these men are the backbone of the Chippewa Valley school district. Dr. George DePiIIo Superintendent

I A r it -. , ,K Catherine Brown Trustee The Chippewa Valley School District has adopted the philosophy of the child-centered curriculum, students have different learning rates and various learning styles and teachers also have preferences for particular teaching methods. The educational program of Chippewa Valley Schools is fully accredited by the State Dept. of Education, the University of Michigan, and the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges.

Everything from filing to helping students in various ways are the jobs of the entire office staff. The East center staff consists of two secretaries: Mrs. Nazione, who works on all the schooI's internal accounts, and Mrs. Thomas, who is Mr. Cook's secretary. Meanwhile, at the West center the secretarial duties are handled by Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Quinn, and Mrs. Meininger. An average of two students per hour help out the staff by running errands, answering phones, and contacting students for the principals. In general the office staff is organized and hardworking.
