We Are the Big Reds The Freshmen, l.V., and Varsity Cheerleaders had a good year in 197,7 cheering the football teams through many games, whether they were for better or for worse. Whether it was raining, sleeting, snowing or below freezing, the cheerleaders were out there doing their best. Now that's devotion! Each year, the cheerleading squad's talent improves and they're all L a- ' looking forward to a great season next'year. Bi? Us Freshmen Football Cheerleaders include: Sue Clore, Lisa Vanhoute, Greta Baumgart, Gabreille, Barraco, Lori Lewis, Patty Miller, Laurie Grove, and Kelly Perica. l.V. Football Cheerleaders include: Carmela Tanoury, Karen Lattanzi, Lisa Shanahan, Chris White, Karen jones, Liz Bellanca, Melinda Baich, and Sandy Sans. Varsity Football Cheerleaders include: june Vanover, Maria Gianakopoulos, Rosie Zloiutro, Melinda Becker, Cheryl Adams, Michelle Faba, Denise Lenders, Andrea Craner, Karen Glowczewski, Diane Lukas and Donna McWilliams.

With quarterback Steve Gianakoupolous calling the signals the team played many close and competitive games. Underclassmen are the the other one. F' nggiii' hub of the team The Boys Varsity Cross Country Team finished the season with a 10-8 record. The Chippewa Harriers were led by junior Gary Lucas who made first team all Oakland A. Other letter winners were junior Greg Lucas and Don Campbell, and sophomores Chris leschke and Brian Hibbard. The Girls Cross Country Team finished their first season with one win and two losses. Senior Katie Brown earned a Varsity Letter by winning two of the races and placing second in
