All in a Day's Sknng Students spent a lot of the 1978 winter season skiing on the slopes of Alpine Valley. In fact, 200 of them went at least once and 50 qualified for the special Chippewa Valley ski patch for going five or more times. The Ski Club sponsors, Mr. Weits, Mr. Kennedy, and Mr. Shanbeck, said the skiing turnout was the best in two years. This was mainly due to the large amount of snow which fell often and stayed on the ground. Skiing is a unique sport at Chippewa because it is the only one that does not have competition in any form. lt is done purely for fun. It also requires no constant attendance. Those students who participated in-the ski program felt the program was very successful and had a great time. l 2 rf!! nmmnvvlml 1 Wmwkm .. M , rtr, ,tw 'mpmnw-nun 4. -U..-, , N ,ww-'lm-rn A Big 1.
