Home Ec Trains for the Future The Family and Commercial Resources Department gives students a foundation for effective daily living. This year the department has expanded with the new Child Care Lab course now being offered. This course gives the students an opportunity to work with young children, whether it will be in a teaching situation or as a parent. Mrs. lan Redebaugh, a recent graduate of Western Michigan University was added to the Family and Consumer Resources staff as a replacement for Mrs. Sue Savel who took a leave of absence. Part of the department is now located in the new Fine Arts and Career Center Building and all the equipment in the department is new. 1. Laura DaGuana likes to get her hands right in there. 2. Ienette Gramitico offers a friendly smile to the photographer. 3. Terri Russo and Mary Brown work hard to get the day's meal ready for Meeting Grounds customers. 4. Third and fourth hour Commercial Foods class take a minute out for a friendly picture. 5. Fifth and sixth hours Commercial Foods class are always smiling. 6. Mrs. Bellanca, the Commercial Foods teacher. 7. Sue Locklear tries to swallow an egg whole as Val Momeny watches. 8. The class is operated like a restaurant and the food is served at the Meeting Grounds Restaurant in Chippewa Valley. The students are trained on the purchasing, preparation and service of food which may lead to Chef, Stewardess, Baker, Matre'd and many more positions in the restaurant business. NUS.
