HOMECOMING '77 Students and parents wore white mums in celebration of l-loinecoming 1978. To Queen Jeanne Petit. senior attendants Laura Lepley and Sandy Willison, junior attendant Jackie Ashley, sophomore attendant Lori Genet, and freshman attendant Shelly Durbin. the night was special. The C.H.S. football team played the chilly, October game in their honor. The teams entered the playing Held, one in blue, one in green, to the sound of cheerleaders and chanting fans. Almost before the game began, it was over with the Chipps on top 'll-0. The victory over the Smithies gave us our first shut-out of the year and in- creased our record to 3 wins, 2 losses. The theme 'gAutumn Dreams was carried out the following night honoring the Queen and her court. The band Hoody Ways entertained the dancers. Queen Jeanne Petit is admired by Brandy McKee and lsltlian Watkins as well as senior attendants Sandy Willison and Laura Lepley. To seniors Henry Yates and Mick Winkler, football is more than tr game. lfrom early August to November, it is a life of hard work and preparation, and the end product is seen lfriday nights on the battlefield.
