ON THE GREEN For the eighth year in a row, our swinging Chipps golf team finished first in the Wayne County League. The team consisted of five members including captain Marty Creed. They were led by Coach Dick Miller. Marty made history this past year when he be- came the first Chippewa High School golfer to qualify for state competition. SUCCESS AT SECTIONALS Being a contender for the Wayne County League championship wasnlt expected of this year's varsity basketball team, but near the end of the season it was the Chipps, Bobcats and Bulldogs in a three-way tie for first. A surprise defeat by the Rittman Indians knocked them down but they got back on their feet to keep them- selves in the race. In an exciting, physical game, the Chipps fell to the Norwayne Bobcats, ruining the hopes of first place in the League. The C.H.S. varsity entered Canton Fieldhouse psyched spir- ited, and ready to rough up Loudenville on February 15.
