Under the direction of Mrs. Gail Hartzog, the speech class has been responsible for many of the skits and shows presented during the year. In A Homecoming Melodrama , presented during the Homecoming Pep Rally, Dimples Dilbert and her Daddy were saved from the terrible Blountstown Villian by our Super Hero. A Mod America , a patriotic program for Thanksgiving, repre- sented what America means to us as students. We also participated in the Christmas Program. On September 25, the class helped with the Miss Chipley Pageant. In addition to skits and shows, the class has made numerable speeches for various organiza- tions. The students of Chipley High School have truly enjoyed the efforts of the speech class. 13

Lunch is a conglomeration of many activities. One of the least favorite, but one in which many people participate, is eating in the lunchroom. However, some people prefer filling their minds over filling their stomachs and spend their lunch time studying. After eating, one could become a spectator to a fantastic volleyball game, if one was being played, or become a participant in the ever- popular sport of fighting bees. There are always those who prefer relaxation after dining, and these may be seen conversing with friends in all parts of the campus. ts
