In Memoriam RAYMOND E. SIMMONS (1907-1965) In one sense there is no death. The life of a soul on earth lasts be- yond his departure. —Angelo Patri. Mr. Raymond E. Simmons came to Chipley High School as custodian in 1953, and although death took him from us on June 18, 1965, in a sense he lives on, for not only did he take care of the physical .facili- ties of his school, but he also cared for the people of his school. That personal concern, deep loyalty, and Christian example, which he ex- pressed daily, are, in truth, making his life last far beyond his departure.

Eager to make new friendships and renew old ones we re- turned from the shortest summer ever to begin the school year.
