LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We. the Senior Class of 1951, being of unsound mind and weak bodies, do hereby make this last will and testament. To Will Lassiter, our janitor, we leave, as each Senior Class has, the unwashed blackboards, the dirty halls, untidy rooms, over-flowing wastebaskets, and all the trash behind the radiators. To Opal Hutchinson, all our back make-up slips. To Mr. Williams, we will, rather we promise, to leave and take all our NOISE with us. I. Shirley Griffin, leave my charm with the women to Norman Cain, who has plenty of his own. I, Dee Darnell, leave my quiet, reserved manner at ballgames to Phyllis Slay who has NONE (?) of her own. I, Marilyn de Boer, leave Harold Taylor, regretfully. I, Nancy Bell, leave with Bill Holland, respectfully. I. Dottie McNeill, leave with no boyfriend but with hope. I, Jacquelyn Gilbert, would leave my silliness, but I want to take it with me. I, Shag Hunt, leave for the infantry—farewell! I, John Slay, will my many love affairs (?) to Dix Darnell. I, Alto Taylor, leave my ability to play End on the football team to Wallace Berry. I. Fayletta Chesnut, leave my presidency of the FHA to anyone who can tackle it. I, Kathleen Canum, will my ability to talk in Mr. Kitching’s class to anyone who has the nerve to try. I. Fred Hall, will my place on the basketball bench to Harold Taylor and hope he doesn't use it as much as I did. I. Sue Carter, leave, breaking many hearts I’m sure. I, Gloria Jean Hardy, w ill my ability as a flute player to Becky Taylor, who has plenty of her own. I. Frederic Coleman, leave Mr. Butler a nervous wreck! We. Gaston Gainer and Earl Merchant, leave all the girls heartbroken. 1. Curtis Malloy, leave and take Eleanor with me. I. Foley Wood, leave Mary Nell with the understanding that she follow. I, Genola Boland, leave my angelic, lady-like ways to Sylvia Ward. I. Bill Gilbert, forsake the FFA and the USA—maybe. I, Frank Tobias, unable to find a worthy successor, take my noble qualities with me. I. Bill Holland, will my striking physique to Teddy Nobles. I. Frances Gainey, bequeath my friendly disposition to Loretta Sapp. I. Fran Wilson, leave my extra pounds to Juanita Simmons. I, Donald Elmore, bequeath my shyness to Wallace Simmons, who needs a little. I. Bonnie McDaniel, will my job in the office to anyone able to run at least ten errands a day.
