IMW , vV. toutw viawto Vto wtom Ā tote Wa . ' In Memory Of n ERIN CAMPBELL CHILD OF LOVE A gift • the seeds of love are sown. A gift - our hearts are bigger grown. A gift • from God a precious loan. A gift • that only He can own. A child • God-sent, our lives to bless. A child - received with tenderness. A child - whose touch is God’s caress. A child - we never quite possess. A rose a bud still closely furled. A rose - the petals softly curled. A rose - God’s love around her swirled. A rose - within - not of this world. A life • a tapestry we weave. A life - we give and thus receive. A life - is lost and sore we grieve. A life - renewed with God. Believe! A gift - two people took a vow. A child - and we’re renewed somehow. A rose - God’s blessing did allow. A life - that’s everlasting now! by Alice Dritshulas, 6 16 82 Ā£ (L JU ATb jrv JL n (L Jv IT Jb Ā£ Ju jLS JU ''La CONTENTS Dedication 1 Activities ..............................3 Seniors ................................31 Undergraduates 49 Athletics ..............................67 Advertisers 97 HOMECOMING HIGHLIGHTS Homecoming Royalty (L to R): Bill Nicholson, Rochelle Fuhrman, Matt Molyneaux, Shari Lybeck, Queen Cindy Thorstad, King Brian Baxter, Nancy Harshman, Scott Friede, Chris Pyette and Brad Tilleman. The 1982-83 school year held brand new learning experiences for the yearbook staff. At the beginning, in August there were many students excited and eager to begin making pages and taking pictures. This consumed alot of peoples time and the staff became smaller and smaller as each week passed, until finally there weren t very many students left. Finally students stopped attending and the yearbook looked as if it had no hope. During the month of February, Joan Foss and Julie Finley finally got the staff organized and back into shape. There still weren't very many students helping. After spending endless days and evenings working on pages we slowly were getting it finished. By graduation time students quit helping and devoting time to the yearbook and the job was left to 5 or 6 people. Yearbook went endlessly on into the summer months because of such a small staff. Only about half to three fourths of the book was done by late June. The staff kept their spirit and worked on it. On June 22 three people from the staff went to a workshop in Billings and learned many new things about putting together a good yearbook. Maybe a little too late. This years yearbook hopefully captured some of the special memories at Chinook High School that you wanted it to. Next year we hope to have a bigger and better yearbook staff, but that can’t be done without the help of you. 23 Above: Advisor. Joan Foss helps get the staff organized Above right: Advisor.
