Proudly Presenting The Sweet Edition The Breeze Chinook High School Chinook, Montana 1978 Thanks . . . His gifts to the Chinook community include the Scout Park, the Rest Home and most especially, the Sweet Educational Foundation. As of publication date, this fund has provided about $143,000 to Chinook High graduates to further their educations. Mr Swaei ” J-t—em S A school year is many things to the students and teachers who share in its experiences. A school year is labs, and lectures, and studying for tests. It is sports, and music, and rehearsals for plays. For some, it is a time of active involvement. For others, it is a time to drift. It can mean being serious or clowning with one's friends. This yearbook has attempted to capture as accurately as possible the many moods of the 1977-1978 school year. When clicking the shutter of the camera, the staff did NOT wait for people to compose themselves and pose. Rather, it snapped them in their natural settings. “Doing what comes naturally!” Doing What Comes Naturally. . . Activities Homecoming Homecoming this year saw a renewed school spirit, not only by the students but also by the community. The Student Council did its part by introducing many new activities to Homecoming week. It was not only a week filled with the traditional sockhop and parade, but also included wagon and trike races, a tug-of-war, a hat and little kids’ day, class pyramids and superstar competition. All these activities were on a competitive basis with (he juniors scoring the highest. The juniors also won the float competition. The businessmen also got into the act and presented a pep talk to the student body. 30 Dampen Spirits of Competing Classes Barry Reid and Kim Preeshl were crowned Homecoming King and Queen. It was a rainy week, and even though the Beeters were unsuccessful in their game against the Browning Indians. Homecoming presented the challenge for school spirit in C.H.S. 3t Queen Kim and King Barry Reigned in the Rain 32 33 Varsity Football. . . Small Team Couldn 't Hold the Line on Bigger Opponents This year's team owed a great deal to the leadership of the seniors. Even though they weren’t winning, they never got down or gave up. Although the Beeters were ice cold against Shelby on Thursday, they put up a good fight against Conrad on Friday. Boys B-Squad...
