Homecoming. . , Featured Fabulous $50 Bonfire The Homecoming festivities started on Thurdsay, Ocotober 10, with the annual bonfire. This year’s bonfire cost $50 to the Senior class because of the strange disappearance of a bus shelter. A sock hop was held in the gym following the bonfire. An assembly was held Friday afternoon. At this assembly Patti Harshman was announced as the Homecoming Queen and Darrell Berglund as the King. Skits and a Kangaroo Court were held. The 3rd Degree played a few selections also. The parade followed. The placing of the floats was Sophomores, 1st; Junior High, 2nd; and Freshmen, 3rd; G.A.A. won the group float. Friday night the Beeters met the Conrad Cowboys in what had to be the most exciting game of the season . Although Chinook held their territory well, they went down in defeat, 27-6. The Thorsen Brothers played for the dance sponsored by the Student Council after the game. The girls' basketball game concluded the weeks' activities with Chinook defeating the Browning Indians 53-46 in a hard fought contest. 13

J. V. Football Started Clicking At Season’s End The '74 season showed a bunch of promising young football players for the J.V. team. Their record was 2-5. The J.V.'s were coached by Mr. Jacobson and Mr. Moffatt. s Opponent 6 Havre 28 8 Ft.
