Distaff Roundballers Do Their Thing; This year was the year for the comeback of girls’ bas- ketball. They began using boys’ rules and the game caught on. Now, BAM, the sport is booming and even now is just in the infancy of its expected growth. Many people feel that in the next few years the girls’ cage tournament will outstrip the boys in 1) enthusiasm, 2) spectator appeal, 3) sports- manship. The coaches agreed that girls are more emotional but love to participate. 30
