They were only able to post a 2-6 record but were never out of any ball game. The season started out with an inspiring victory over Harlem. The next week against Fort Benton, they came from behind to tie the game only to lose it in the final minutes. Cut Bank scored two quick TD's and hung on to win the Home- coming game. At Browning, the Beeters massacred the Indians. Chi- nook led Shelby most of the way, only to lose in the final minutes. Malta snuffed out a late Beeter rally with an interception in a thriller. The champion Conrad Cow- boys trailed at halftime, but came back to claim victory. In the final game, Choteau jumped off to an early lead and then held off a late Beeter rally. Tony Seamons was elected team captain. Richard Stuker made first team all confer- ence both ways. Tony Seam- ons, Grant Willman, and Chris Thomas made the sec- ond team. 27
