«r THE 1970 CHINOOK BREEZE dedication The 1970 Chinook Breeze is dedicated to the Businessmen and Civic Organizations of Chinook who have supported our school and its activities by providing_scholarships, by buying annual ads, by supporting our athletic teams, clubs and organizations, by sponsoring Girl State and Boy State delegates and the Presidential Classroom delegates as well as the Senior All Night Party. Their generosity and thoughtfulness will always be remembered. Exciting Psychology Class! The look of wisdom? I'm right and you're wrong. ALL-CONFERENCE PLAYERS Dan H., Cal H., Jim O., Tom I. FOOTBALL 1969 The 1969 season saw the Beeters start slow and finish fast. After an opening victory over Harlem the team lost four games in a row, two of them in the last few minutes. However, this Chinook team showed that they had the stuff champions are made of as they came back and won the last three games of the season. The highlight of the season was the last game when the Chinook Beeters knocked off previously undefeated Shelby and let the rest of the conference know that the Beeters were as tough as any team in the league. Chinook's new coaches Heib Kimball and Gary Turcott feel that Chinook will be in the thick of the battle next year and hope for number one . The Co-captains for this years team were Jim Lind and Dan Edgington. Edginton was also the outstanding defensive player. Malta Action-Flying Harshman Malta Action-Cal H., Jim L. HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES Some of the Homecoming activities were decorating the halls and a series of skits in the auditorium. On the left side we see Candy, Karen and Linda decorating the halls. Hey Jim, what's on your mind? 8 9 BONFIRE HOMECOMING GAME The most important game of the year was a long and hard-fought one. It looked like a thrilling victory until the latter part of the game. For our Seniois, the end of the 1969-70 season marked the end of three very successful and challenging years. These boys were a part of the teams which brought recognition and a sense of pride, not only to them, but to their school and community. It is my hope that these accomplishments will inspire them to even greater heights and will be a goal for which our younger athletes will strive.
