Both defense and offense were strong throughout the season. The fast backfield was supported by a very solid line. 46 Chinook had a game point average of 29.9 while holding their opponents to 6.7 points per game. Say, Chuck, did the pointers from Mr. Donahue help? Miss Carol Whitlatch liked Mr. Dorsey's government class so well that she decided to try teaching it. Oh, well, everyone makes mistakes. Ken Harshman is now the head basketball coach here at good 'ole Chinook High. Ken has taken every championship that has come along. Good work, Ken. Steve Willman is now head wrestling coach. Jerry Simpson has been in the Navy since school got out, and since that time he has managed to be promoted to First Seaman. Pam Zam has taken over Harry's Cafe and has changed the name to Pam's Cafe. Dave Taylor is President of General Motors and is making '55 Chevys forever. Dennis Teske is now the proud owner of the Mild River Coal Mine. He and Rita have their help already so they don't need to hire anyone. You see, they have raised a batch of little miners. Karl Nielson is now head foreman of the Sump detail at the Diamond Asphalt Company. Some of the new families around town are--Doug Watson and Linda Schend with their baby Beeters. Sandi Powell has settled down and is raising a fine family of eight. Nothing like the quiet life, huh? Janis Nicholson and Jim Lind are married now and are raising little line-men. Grace Austad has settled down and is now raising a fine basketball team. Right, Gale? Bette Gardipee is now happily married to Mike Holfeldt. We would like to congratulate these fine new families. We see that Kyle Betz is now the head football and wrestling coach at the University of Southern California. The people down there call him little Dub . James Bilger now owns one of the largest cattle ranches in the State of Montana and advocates Eat More Beef. Doug Hofeldt is now an educated rancher. Say, Doug, is ranching better than farming? Dave Oehmcke is now the owner of the largest pig farm in the U.S. Say, Dave, do you still take the girls out to see your pigs? Sharon K nett el is now the owner of the largest horse ranch in Montana. DeAnna Putnam is now the highest paid woman jockey on the Chinook Horse Racing track. Judy McMaster runs the regular Lohman School Bus, but is raising a fine family in her spare time. Kay O'Brien is the troop leader of the Girl Scouts in Chinook. Say, how're the camping trips, Kay? Darlene Pomeroy was crowned Miss Universe this year and would you believe, she was a judge? Don't know about you, Doll. Ted Olson is now roaming the United States taking a Personal interest in all sorts of sports. Pretty satisfying occupation, huh Ted? Mike Reid is also wandering around the country trying to find that right girl. Karen Harshman still can't make up her mind on which guy she wants, Brad or Dave. Her cousin, Connie Harshman, is still the chief babysitter for the Kennedy's. Linda Gilmore and Mary Lorraine Hofeldt are still driving around town in Mary's hot little Ford. Go, you two, go. Penny Schubert still sits at home waiting for that little white car to appear. Ken Schubert is now playing pro football and lives with coach Kennedy. Mark Burkhartsmeyer liked college so much that he decided to stay there and guess what he finally figured out what girls are for. You know, cooking, cleaning, doing the ironing and a few other things. Helen Bryan now has her own private room at the Deacones Hospital. A home away from home, right, Hel? Terri Blackner is now the one and only, and I mean the only, stewardess for Western Airlines. Leslie Mellett has given up waiting for Don and has gone overseas to get him. Trinka Michalson is still driving around town in her green Plymouth. Anita Miller--Well, her dream came true. She is now a nurse at Sweet's Rest Home in Chinook. Jerry Ann Stuker is now head nurse at Walter Reed Hospital. Jim See is now Chief of Police in Havre and is giving possession tickets instead of receiving them. Rick Stephens is still sitting in Electronics Class trying to figure out the Diode. Diane Svendsen and Brent Schellin are still taking evening drives in the pickup. Duane Skoyen has just purchased 500,000 acres of rich pasture land for his 50,000 head of cattle. Maggie Harbolt did so well in Speech that the college she was attending dedicated one of its rooms to her. John Johnson has not been heard of for the last ten years. Rumors have it that he now owns the Pub and he is his biggest customer. Greg Jergeson is now assistant advisor to Lyndon Johnson after an unsuccessful bid for the Presidency. Terry Hovland is now head wrestling cheerleader at Northern Montana College. Amy Phipps is still bumming around. We hope some day that she will settle down. Kathy McCartney now holds the land speed record for Chinook main-street, but she says she'll try and break it again next year---after all she is the mayor. Pat Blackner has just inherited Unruh's farm and he and Sherri have begun their family. As I was walking past Burgess and Inmans Insurance, I looked through the window and saw the sexiest secretary I have ever seen. You'll never guess who it was. That's right, it was Mary Inman, and she looked as though she was really enjoying her work. Carla Molyneaux liked California so well that she decided to just stay there.
