Principal Gary Smith Mr. Gary Smith attended the University of North Dakota for one year. Three years later he received his degree from Concordia College. He was a basketball coach for seven years and taught history in schools in Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. Although he previously taught in Chinook, this is his first year as principal of Chinook High School. He is in charge of supervising student activities. SCHOOL BOARD Seated left to right: H.  tonunm Superintendent Steve Ruffatto Mr. Ruffatto received his B.A. degree from the University of Montana at Missoula. He received his M.A. from the University of Washington at Tacoma. Mr. Ruffatto has had experience in various Montana schools, including Chinook, (this was prior to his being superintendent). The areas of his service have been both elementary and high school education. He was a head basketball coach for five years and guidance counselor in Chinook for five years. Mr. Ruffatto was elementary principal for three years before becoming Superintendent. His chief duties now are adminstrative, and include all Chinook schools. 4
